In 2024, we on a 2-month trip to Nepal as a family following Anna, on a rotation as a doctor at a Chitwan local hospital.

As a side project, we started supporting a remote village we visited called Namuna Chepang Basti in Madi Valley. It’s home to one of Nepal’s most marginalized communities.

In the following months, we funded electricity for all the houses in the village through donations, something that completely changed their daily life.

But this was just the start: to scale this project, we knew we had to go beyond donations, and started to look at something that was right under our eyes: Nepali craftmanship.

Through Namuna, we wish to bring the amazing Nepali craftsmanship to your home and daily life, and give back to the local communities a real chance to break the cycle of poverty, and perhaps help other communities.
